2005 - The Urban Tour Host   is a proud recepient of the prestigious Pillar Awards 2005, presented by  Miami-Dade County's Black Advisory Board and Black Heritage Planning Committee.

April, 2005 - David C. Brown, M. A., Director of The Urban Tour Host ,   presented a  multi-media seminar at the Black Heritage Preservation Conference held in Ft. Lauderdale in April of 2005.  The seminar featured   The Urban Tour Host's successful  model program for developing tourism in urban communities as a means of economic development  as well as a means for cross-cultural experiential learning.

July, 2005 - The Urban Tour Host is featured in July issue of Miami Monthly Magazine and Urban Professional Magazine.

October, 2005 - David C. Brown, M. A., Director of The Urban Tour Host, presented a  seminar at Visit Florida's "Downtown's and Small Towns Forum" that will be held in Delray Beach, FL  in Oct. 2005.  David C. Brown, M. A. considered a leading expert on economic development through tourism, will speak on  " The Importance of Integration of Unique, Diverse Neighborhoods"
